SpaceX is targeting Sunday, December 13 at 12:30 p.m. EST, or 17:30 UTC, for the launch of the SXM-7 mission, which will launch from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. The launch window closes at 1:21 p.m. EST, or 17:21 UTC, and a backup launch opportunity is available on Monday, December 14 with a one-hour and 59-minute launch window opening at 11:22 a.m. EST, or 16:22 UTC.
The Falcon 9 first stage rocket booster supporting this launch previously supported Crew Dragon’s first flight to the International Space Station (Demo-1), launch of the RADARSAT Constellation Mission, and four Starlink launches in 2020. Following stage separation, SpaceX will land Falcon 9’s first stage on the “Just Read the Instructions” droneship, which will be located in the Atlantic Ocean. One half of Falcon 9’s fairing previously supported the ANASIS-II mission in July 2020.

So cool.

I really terribly want to buy SpaceX merch and their Merch is within budget, but: the shipping cost isn't. And I just so badly want to support SpaceX, know that: I tried reasoning with my economy to support their mission, but all do respect, must decline for now to purchase some of their Merch.

Just how amazing is the thought that at the end, the fuselage was moving at a speed of around 9300 meters per second. Just imagine something in front of you and a second later it’s 9,3 kilometers further. Simply mind blowing.

Damn lost the feed again, I wish they could set a camera a bit further away from the heat of the booster jets, so we can watch the stage one landings. Oh well, great to see another one landed correctly again. Can't wait to see if the SN9 can make it's landing better than the SN8, although it was fun watching it explode, Go Elon, go SpaceX.

Daniel Chettiar
Daniel Chettiar Pirms 24 dienām
@Lydiaohlydiaa Watch from 20:00 you get some clips of the curve. But seriously? What even makes you believe the earth is flat?
UpsideDown
UpsideDown Pirms 25 dienām
@Lydiaohlydiaa I see your point, but you have to realize that there are two cameras focused on the mVac engine, and this one happens to be a wide-angle camera (which they chose because it can show more). There is slight distortion on it. If you want to see the Earth's curvature, just go back in the stream to when there were two feeds next to each other, on the left (which has a normal lens), you'll be able to easily see Earth's curvature. If that's not good enough, just go to any of SpaceX's other streams of launches, there are literally hundreds.
Lydiaohlydiaa
Lydiaohlydiaa Pirms 25 dienām
@UpsideDown appreciate it but the inverted curve at 27:58 for example ruins that concept
UpsideDown
UpsideDown Pirms 26 dienām
On the left camera view, you can clearly see the curvature of the earth, and that camera doesn't use a fisheye lens. In fact, I don't even think that's a wide-angle camera. Its just a normal camera and it clearly shows Earth's curve. Also, fish-eye lenses have notable distortions around the edges, but in the middle of their views, everything appears normal, just a tip (although this doesn't use fish-eye lenses, only one wide-angle camera on the right).

EVERY SINGLE TIME The Falcon lands, we lose cameras. One would think with the amount of smart people in SpaceX, that someone would have solved this already. Maybe put the cameras behind a 8-inch thick ballistic glass & Armored housing so the jets dont knock the cameras out all the time.....LOL I hope SpaceX fixes that problem soon so people can actually watch the rockets land..... We always get blue-balled every single time...... BTW - The female host is SUPER GORGEOUS :)

@M P We can land on an asteroid and extract minerals from it and re-land back to earth. We can go to mars, we can go and land on the moon, we can put a satellite at the edge of our solar system, we can create the Hubble telescope to take pictures light years away, We can re-land not 1 not 2 but 3 rockets at the same time back on earth..... but we cant have camera's operational on earth ?? Seriously. If thats the case, then our priorities are backwards.

Why always wait to the very last second before switching to the drone ship when the booster lands? This must be by design, but it's always irritating. Besides the actual take off it's the best part of the stream yet there's this constant habit of waiting until the very last possible second to switch to the drone ship camera. Some streams barely catch the landing. We stare at rockets for days waiting on them to do something (RIP SN8)....15 extra seconds looking at the drone ship certainly will not offend anyone.

We need to immigrate to another planet before the Earth be hit by another asteroid or be destroyed by another unknown forces. If we only think about this when the Earth under some unknown forces threat. It's really too late! Maybe the other planets are not as comfortable as the Earth, but they're the hope for lives to continue. The SpaceX is one of the hope for human beings to continue lives beyond future. Thank you SpaceX!

Humanity needs change fast or we won’t be here in another 100 years. First of all humanity needs to unite we spend so much time and money into military and defence that could be used into progressing and people. Second of all we need to get rid of the way we run our society or give everyone a UBI. As technology could be used to replace many of the jobs that people do but hate. Humans should only be doing creative jobs that technology can’t do. Most people dislike their job currently We need to completely redesign our education system. It was created in the 1800’s to make people factory workers, although it has gone through a few changes it needs to be completely changed. Teachers and students don’t like to be at school and learn almost nothing. The only goal of a student is to get a good grade. Not to actually learn. I’ve learned almost nothing in school and spent most of my time out of school reading many articles and watching videos. Just watching/reading them not having to right a essay on how I thought they were in a specific forced apon format. We need to progress into the future faster. We must get rid of all non renewable energy by 2030 or we will become extinct. There are so many ways we could do this That are much cheaper and better. We must invest more in fusion energy as that could give us almost infinite energy forever. We also must invest more in space so humanity could move forward. This one is a little controversial but to unite as one we must get rid of our stupid superstitions. And believe in science not a book someone wrote 2000 years ago. Everyone must not see color and unite as one human race. We must educate everyone about the reality of everything. Every child in Africa, India or China should get a device connected to starlink internet. Which with they could learn by watching videos made by governments educating people about the reality of everything. We should follow the footsteps of many Scandinavian countries that are taking the first steps. Into all these things. Those countries have the highest quality of life. Everyone must be given basic things and the more the overall quality of life improves the more we are moving in the right direction away from people like trump and xi jinping deciding the fate of humanity. Most people are just working to make a trillion dollar corporation even richer. Instead of working towards saving humanity or things they are passionate about. Everyone’s life could be made a 1000 times better if people just started to think and act. We must change fast or we won’t be here tomorrow.
