I can't believe this was only a few months ago. It felt like SN6 flew last year, and SN8 flew a few weeks ago. SpaceX is making such incredible progress in such little time! Seriously inspirational to me... keep on pushing!
why not add bigger and larger landing gear which is flexible? so this way it could be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier to land even on uneven surface like on moon... this way sensors could fail and the rocket could explode easier... or is the rocket waay too heavy to use hydraulic langing gear?
Later versions will have bigger, more advanced landing gear. For now, since these are just cheap prototypes for testing, they're using cheap single-use landing gear. Hopefully we'll see the better legs on SN15, that's the first prototype set to get major upgrades.

*Elon, if your not an alien hiring aliens to work for you, then LVlocal type people must be the reason for these technological advances. Seriously some LVlocal people are backyard geniuses and ur people are like that plus a billion but with funding. Keep it up. PS, people will tear down a statue made of u one day. Mostly because humans destroy everything, but also because you took us from visitor, to resident in outer space. So we will trash the galaxy and any lifeforms in the universe will hate us. ... wait and see homie. *also, I’m really high.
Seeing again this video help to understand why SN8 crashed...Definetly a Predator plumbing issue...much more complicated with three engines instead of one....
"Starship is a go for launch" Team watching test flight starts cheering. Starship countdown begins...wait what did we just watch??? Mission control it uhh seems that the bases water heater has just...ummm...entered orbit.
🔵 What bothers me about most of these upright Landings is, when it's all done...I've noticed several of the crafts leaning-substantially,...THAT really worries me!
It's because they aren't using proper suspension on the landing gear yet. Once it compresses it stays compressed. Later versions will automatically self level, but for these cheap early prototypes there's no need to waste money on that.
Ah yes, aliens must be the reason SpaceX are able to do this. It couldn't possibly have come from the experimental tests that started with grasshopper 8 years ago.
After watching the mind bending SN8 flight yesterday, I can't comprehend how this flying silo was only 3 months ago. I can't image where Starship will be in a year :')
@IronAgent SN9 exposed that the earth was flat 🤫. Al jokes aside, I fixed it now, I saw the ending of the stream saying SN9 up next and things got mixed up in my head lol
no fucking way this was just 3 months ago, goddamn, did we really go from grain silo flying to actual Starship flying in 3 months? I don't believe that man.
I am, I live just 30 minutes away from the launch site and I witness it first-hand in person right across from the Jetties. For just three engines that thing was loud
