SpaceX is targeting Saturday, May 4 for an instantaneous launch of its seventeenth Commercial Resupply Services mission (CRS-17) at 2:48 a.m. EDT, or 6:48 UTC, from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. Dragon will separate from Falcon 9’s second stage about 9 minutes after liftoff and attach to the space station on Monday, May 6.
The Dragon spacecraft that will support the CRS-17 mission previously supported the CRS-12 mission in August 2017. Following stage separation, SpaceX will attempt to recover Falcon 9’s first stage on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

To all rocket fans. I have made a Google Doc about this launch. It's a kind of Prelaunch Preview, that Tim Dodd and his Paetron friends makes about upcoming launches. There isn't a page about this launch, so I made one, and besides a lot of the old pages went missing from Dragon II in -flight abort test, there is only 28 SpaceX prelaunch pages left with direct access from Tim Dodd's homepage. I call mine Mission Rundown. Here is a link to DM-1 rebuilt Prelaunch Preview. Here's your Mission Rundown from me, Tim Dodd, SpaceX and Wikipedia. Enjoy. docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vQE03FvMEzvtHCSrr31adyuoDYS9lqPVlPm1TTXyap3WDJcipFa1QRNOd20rogUVK2UPdgbDaC6WCN9/pub

Elon Reeve Musk é um empreendedor, filantropo e visionário sul-africano-canadense-americano. Ele é o fundador, CEO e CTO da SpaceX; CEO da Tesla Motors; vice-presidente da OpenAI; fundador e CEO da Neuralink; e co-fundador e presidente da SolarCity.

This guy is spending so much of time and effort just to start a civilization in Mars! Mars is not a place for humans what's the point in living their?? Even if humans start to live their, how would they sustain themselves for the long run! Sustaining human lives in Mars would mean launching hundreds and hundreds of rockets to Mars in periodic intervals for as long as humans are staying their! Won't the pollution from rocket make earth more and more terrible place to live? And won't the continual exploitation of natural resources from earth just to cause a propulsion in space, deplete earth of its precious natural resources! I think the whole idea behind the civilisation of Mars is business! For only rich would go their, leaving all the poor on earth to suffer even more, as the earth itself would be getting poorer and poorer! Hell awaits u all!!! The best way to reach Mars is to have a really good damn dream about u doing doggy style in Mars!

Dear Elon Musk I know you won’t hear this but this question that I am about to ask has been bothering me for a while now so why did you choose to colonize Mars and terraform it but not colonize the moon and make a profit out of it. As we know mars is a waste land and giant desert with no little resources, but the moon on the other hand is might be a little more dangerous then mars but has a huge deposit of helium 3 and helium 3 can power humanity for hundreds of thousands of years and the moon could have more platinum and other important energy sources .Mars has little to no resource and the only thing it’s good for for its terraforming it so please wouldn’t the strategy of colonizing the moon and getting its resources make your company earn more and possibly make Mars’s terraforming effort faster. In conclusion I hope you see this Elon and with my dearest intentions I hope Spacex the best Sincerely Amiin Mohammed

DayRider76 Elon Musk if you are reading this please take this into conversation as well as for anyone else that is reading this!.. I just wished that we were living already on the Moon and Mars already it's just taking to damn long and you and me are not getting any younger and I want to see us as humans to live on other worlds and planets as Carl Sagan once said because its all in our DNA to explore and I don't care what others my think but it's even proven in our own history and that's not no lie neither lol Besides why should we cash all of our eggs in one basket right here on earth when we as a human species are meant to explore. I think that it's foolish to just staying in one place here on this earth because if the earth ever got hit from a ionic solar flare from our sun it would strip away our atmosphere and it would end up like Mars is today already and then we as a species would be extinct would no longer exist believe me it can happen especially if a comet hit the earth that ended the dinosaurs if you don't believe me then try asking a dinosaur yourself that it can't happen when it can and already has. To be totally honest we would be shit out of luck and besides nothing is impossible this is why I say we are better off not cashing all of our eggs all into one basket on this planet earth why not have other civilizations of our own species living on other planets and worlds. Besides it's better to just play it safe then sorry latter because you never know what the future Brings!..

I think it would be better idea to make path chain like system like first we go on moon then by collecting it`s water ice and using it as fuel to go to other planets like jupiter and then using diamonds(which is a great source of energy) of jupiter as fuel and going further away on another planets or another interstellar object collecting their fuel to go more distant places in space and even we can send humans because i think we can return to the earth safely by same way in which we moved on... it can be a big deep space mission since we have long range telescopes so it would not be difficult for us to investigate for fuel sources on interstellar objects

The core business of SpaceX is reusable commercial rocketry. The first reusable rocketry idea was the Aerojet Sea Dragon. Perhaps a Sea Dragon style first stage might boost a BFR rocket (preferably with LH2/subcooled LOX Raptors) to orbit to facilitate interplanetary and space resource development missions. The original Aerojet Sea Dragon was to send fuel for interplanetary missions to LEO. A full two-stage Sea Dragon could refuel several BFR Starships for Lunar or Mars missions.

Space is real, landing on the Mars and moon isn't. This is what got the elites paranoid, that people are realizing NASA is a lie so they scramble to use CIA psyops tactics and paid shills to act as flat earthers, then attack NASA to make NASA look good ("only flat earthers don't believe in NASA!"). What is the truth? They have satellites in space and cameras that can see 1 grain of sand from few miles (3 miles?) up from Earth in space, and that same camera can capture the same images on moon and Mars. Hence they can make it appear as if they are there, but the truth is there's a Van Allen radiation belt so what's on Earth CANNOT go outside. This belt will destroy anything such as miles thick meteor melting which many of you see they call shooting stars. The lie is they got through it with their rocket ship using aluminum foil 😆😅😂🤣🤣 No. The rocket launches is only about 3 or more miles up in space and that's it... astraunuts are floating there with satellites, not in Mars or moon jumping around like their on trampoline (like the fraud apollo mission. You really think if your on moon you'll hop around sharp rocks when your space suit is the ONLY thing that keeps you alive 😅😂🤣)

SpaceX clearly knows how to land rocket boosters. The new Superheavy is a more efficient, reusable and skinny version of the Saturn C8. Perhaps the Superheavy/Starship system can be supplemented with an actual Saturn C8-class interplanetary launcher to increase versatility and launch payloads that do not fit a Starship cargo bay? -May need LH2/subcooled LOX Raptor upper stage engines or RS-25 engines (hard to refurbish for reuse), 4500+ m/sec exhaust velocity.

About the Starship, I dont know whats the current name of it: the part of the ship (rocket) who goes to Mars and, eventually, comes back to Earth: why does it has to have termal shields capable of reentry on Earths atmosphere, and not only shields to entry Mars atmos? It doesnt have to reland on Earth, right? Re-land on Eath and then launch again, its waste of money, time and also the shields need to re-entry on Earth are heavier than Mars: its waste of weight. It could instead get back only to Earth orbits, and then some fligths (launches, from Earth) from other veicles (lets say, Dragons) would meet it in orbit and retrieve crew, material, etc, and get them back to Earth. Then, while on orbit, the ship could be refueled, re-crewed, re-supplied and sent back to Mars. Maintenance of Starship could be made on Mars itself or even on Earths orbit, via Space Station. Its just one idea. I hope it helps.
Ev Sonelus
Ev Sonelus Pirms Gada
@Wojtek Sykurski Thank you for the answer. I know the shield is for atmospheric re-entry (breaking), no for the landing itself (thats why i said Mars is easier, only 1% of Earths atmosphere there). I didnt knew the part of service the ship. Also, one thing i was thinking after wrote the question, the fact only once every 2 years, or so, we can send ships from Earth to Mars and vice-versa, so it would require the spaceship to stay on Earths orbi for two years waiing, and that could be risky: no maintenance, and with risk of micro meteorite damages. Bring it back to Earth is probably the safe and best idea, then ;-)
Wojtek Sykurski
Wojtek Sykurski Pirms Gada
Hi, please notice 2 points: 1. SpaceShip use it shield not only for landing, but also atmosphere breaking. Thanks to that it can take far less propelant from Mars. 2. Servicing of SpaceShip is much more easier on Earth than at LEO.

@Wojtek Sykurski That's a relief, thank you for clearing that up. I watched a lot of space videos, some mention debris and Elon Musk even spoke about it in one. At least Im not one of those haters who thinks America faked the moon landings! I went to Kennedy Space Centre a non believer and knowing nothing exactly this time last year, potentially to the day exactly actually!
