On Saturday, May 30th, Falcon 9 successfully launched Crew Dragon’s second demonstration (Demo-2) mission from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This test flight with NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley on board the Dragon spacecraft initiated the return of human spaceflight to the United States.

Demo-2 is the final major test for SpaceX’s human spaceflight system to be certified by NASA for operational crew missions to and from the International Space Station. With this launch, SpaceX helped initiate the return of human spaceflight to the United States with one of the safest, most advanced systems ever built. NASA’s Commercial Crew Program is a turning point for America’s future in space exploration that lays the groundwork for future missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

Musk isn't even "an american". He's South African. Also, he's on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder - even though he hasn't been officially tested. That's why he's physiologically been able to archive such feats. Normies all thin the same.

Why doesn't SpaceX release in-cabin footage of the launch like NASA did for shuttle missions? I'd love to see the ride from the inside and how the astronauts held up through the ride.

Crazy watching Spacex’s progress. I remember I really started to get back into space in middle school and following Spacex take cargo to the iss, landing their first booster on land and sea, and also their failures with the 2 explosions and failed landings. So amazing to see what this company and country has done.

FAQ: Yes, it is real. The booster that brings the rocket into space and later is separated lands, not the astronauts. The foamy objects forming in the engine is oxygen ice. The watery camera is a view inside the liquid oxygen tank. The exhaust looks different when it’s higher up due to exhaust expansion. Natural phenomena that occurs due to lower pressure. The astronauts where on quarantine for the last few weeks before the mission.

Why don’t you guys make artificial magnetic field like the earth does from permanent or partial magnetic 🧲 onboard to protect onboard electric devices as well as living cells from solar radiation? Still water and hydrogen around the cabin is good for preventing solar radiation but too much weight to carry think so. Living on Mars should be protected from permanent or electrical artificial magnetic field also.

Idk man if I was on my way to go on a historic space mission in the midst of national outcry against nearly anything I'd want to have some protection. Also, the LMG was unmanned. It was probably meant to look intimidating rather than actually be used as defense.

We've gotten so far, so fast. It's truly mind boggling. Just 4 generations ago we were still using horses to pull carriages. Trains were the fastest form of travel. Then we got into the sky, started to manipulate our tools to push us faster and faster, moving through 3d space. Then we put things into outer space, then we put people up there into orbit, then we WENT TO THE MOON. Tens of thousands of years with nothing more advanced than spears, stone tools, etc. Then humanity flexed the most ridiculously advanced brain the world has ever seen and shot for the stars. Just looking from where we were, to where we've gotten thus far, its almost impossible to guess where we will be in another 10,000 years. Craziest part...you, the person reading this, may actually be around in some form or another then. If they can manage to get Neuralink active and get that memory backup going perfectly, we will be able to switch vessels as ours break down. How amazing is that?
